The New York Times in my opinion the first site I go to for any news and there is one simple reason for that, the way that the New York Times writes and displays there articles, the way they present there articles by showing a short paragraph or so without having to actually click into the article helps a lot with deciding if the article is worth reading or not. 

#2 https://www.wsj.com/

The Wall Street Journal is very similar to the New York Times when it comes to layout which is why I think of these two sites to practically be the same. The news on each site however is very different the Wall Street Journal has more articles about COVID-19 and stocks rather than the New York Times having more political articles right now.

The New Yorker is an excellent news site if your looking for articles that are more than just politics, they of course have articles about politics but they also have a dedicated section on the right side just for important news and culture articles that don't relate to politics at all.

Bleacher Report is my go to app/website for sports news, they have the best in depth articles for just about every sport that I watch plus more. The way they are able to pump out articles just as something happens to a player or an organization and for it to be accurate it's something you can't beat.

ESPN for me has mixed feeling but most of the feelings are good feelings. In my opinion ESPN does two things really well when it comes to their articles and those are NFL and NBA articles. Those two sports are the ones they really focus on when it comes to their articles and at some points even beat Bleacher Report to articles in those sports genres, but really when it comes to any other sports news Bleacher Report has them beat.
